Mary Odbert Lead Associate, Marketing and Public Relations
Mary Odbert has over 15-years experience working with businesses that range from banking to the pharmaceutical industry and include nonprofits and for-profits. She has extensive experience in marketing and communications providing those skills in corporate, association and agency environments for a variety of companies.
At Woodland Healthcare Mary handled Marketing/Communications for a hospital, medical group and surgery center over a tri-county area. She coordinated advertising image campaigns, product/service promotion, media relations and crisis communications.
As Director of Marketing and Communications at the California Chiropractic Association, Mary wrote for and served as managing editor of the Journal of the California Chiropractic Association . She conducted statewide opinion research, coordinated advertising campaigns, designed promotional campaigns, handled crisis communications and media relations. In addition, she worked extensively on membership development and government affairs communication issues for the association.
At Perry Communications Group, Mary managed a number of projects including statewide social marketing campaigns, issues management, grass-root advocacy activities and award-winning media relations programs. Her clients ranged from local organizations to national associations and Fortune 500 companies.
Crocker/Flanagan's full range of marketing, communications and advertising services put all of Mary's experience to use. She oversaw a wide range of projects and clients from television commercials to websites and finance to software .
As a member of the faculty at the University of California Extension , she shared her communications experience with those breaking into the field and those wishing to polish or increase their knowledge.
From 1996-1997, Mary served as Chair of the Board of the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society of Northern California. In 2000, she was an associate member of the WEAVE Board of Directors. She is a Business Volunteer for the Arts, and she serves on the Capitol Public Radio Board of Director's committee on marketing.
In 2004, the Sacramento Public Relations Association awarded her the title of Public Relations Professional of the Year.
